STORY

A tasty mix of southern groove, chicken pickin' licks, alt folk storytelling, and organic beats. Uniquely written in both official Canadian languages, melodies are full of tension and passionate notes.

"It all happened by hanging out and talking about life", says Trudeau of the organic growth of the project. This bilingual Folk, Indie, Country entity was excited for the release of their full length self-titled album, Étoile Noire (Black Star) .

In Nov. 2017, Étoile Noire released their debut album and promoted it in Ottawa as well as 11 cities across the east-coast of Canada. They gained coverage on radio, such as: CHOIX FM in Moncton, NB, and PHANTOM FM in Bathurst, NB. In the same year, Étoile Noire shares the bill with Juno-Award winner Julian Taylor Band, then Jeff Martin of the Tea Party, and later performing at two venues for Marvest/CityFolk Festival. Local radio stations continue to spin their songs, and they are reviewed by many organizations, such as Apt613, Ottawa Life Magazine, Musicoin, etc.

In 2018, they continue to promote and write. A return to the east-coast, festivals across Canada, with a aspirations to tour in Europe.
