ANNIVERSARY CITY FOLK
“…sold-out performance by Canadian rock staples, The Trews, and Ottawa’s own Étoile Noire”
— Emily Plunkett @ Canadian Beats
“The dark overtones of "Native Girl" create a foreboding mood right from the get-go, as it sizzles”
— Owen Maxwell @ Ottawa Life Magazine
Étoile Noire is a Canadian bilingual folk rock acoustic duo. Their performance is intimate, emotive and provoking.
They stretch the limits of earth-roots acts such as Jim Croce & Gordon Lightfoot. Embodied with coarse-rich vocals and infused with quirky harmonies comparable to The Strokes and Daniel Victor, the art itself is truly their own.
Formed in 2016, the Canadian duo carried out two east-coast tours, and southern Ontario with a debut title "Gone" was released in 2017, and latest "Lights Out" in 2018.
Bilingual debut released February 2017 on Valentine's Day.
This bilingual song is a favorite amongst Canadian Maritimers.
Released August 31, 2018. Promoting Global Earth Hour Awareness.
